Fleissner was founded in 1848 in Asch/Bohemia. Since 1951, the company's production is located in Egelsbach near Frankfurt/Main. Nonwovens, man-made fibers and carpet/textile finishing are Fleissner's competences.

1848:
Founded of Fleissner by Johann Christian Fleissner in Asch/Bohemia as blacksmith‘s shop

1929:
Hans Fleissner receives first patent for Through Air Dryer

1951:
Family Fleissner moved to current location in Egelsbach with growing reputation as textile machinery supplier

1969:
Introduction of the double jacket roller

1977:
Delivery of the first compact staple fiber line

1980:
Introduction of the first high capacity staple fiber treatment lines for 200 tons per day

1996:
Introduction of the Fleissner Jumbo crimper with a working width of 560 mm

2003:
Zimmer AG / Frankfurt (Gea Group) takes over Fleissner

2006:
Opening of spinning tower and start of marketing project "From chips to fiber bales"

Essential modifications:

  • Fleissner takes over licenses from Zimmer AG
  • Trützschler group acquires Fleissner GmbH

2009:
Introduction of the Precursor and Carbon Fiber Line
